It is the atmosphere of heaven operating within the human spirit. Peace is not merely the absence of trouble; it is the presence of God in the midst of trouble. A person may have money and yet lack peace. He may possess wealth, fame, influence, and earthly success, yet remain restless and tormented. Many sleep on luxurious beds but cannot sleep peacefully because their minds are battlefields. The enemy understands the power of inner peace. Therefore, one of his major assignments is to disturb the heart of believers. Satan knows that a troubled heart struggles to hear God clearly.
