50 POWERFUL PRAYERS AGAINST STRANGE SPIRITS AND EVIL STRANGERS WITH BIBLE VERSES

These scriptures provide a powerful foundation for prayers against every evil presence, influence, plantation, oppression and work that is contrary to the purpose of God.

INTRODUCTION

There is a spiritual warfare language often used in deliverance ministry concerning “strangers.”

In this context, a stranger represents anything that is contrary to God's will, anything that does not belong in a person's life, or any evil influence that seeks to occupy an area that should be surrendered to God.

Psalm 18:45 says:

“The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.”

The Bible also gives us an important principle in Matthew 15:13:

“Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.”

This is the basis of many deliverance prayers: whatever God has not planted must not be allowed to remain.

Strangers can be understood in spiritual warfare as tormenting influences, oppressive powers, afflicting forces, evil plantations, satanic deposits, destructive patterns and other works of darkness that oppose God's purpose.

At the same time, not every physical, emotional or mental problem automatically proves demonic activity. Some conditions have medical, psychological, environmental or other causes and should receive appropriate professional attention. Spiritual prayer and responsible care do not have to compete with each other.

The purpose of these prayers is to call upon Jesus Christ for freedom, protection, restoration and victory over every work that is genuinely contrary to God's will.

WHAT ARE STRANGERS?

In the language of deliverance prayer, “strangers” can refer to:

1. Tormenting spiritual influences.
2. Oppressive powers.
3. Afflicting powers.
4. Powers that waste opportunities and resources.
5. Forces promoting stagnation and backwardness.
6. Evil plantations represented in spiritual warfare.
7. Satanic influences contrary to God's purpose.
8. Evil deposits spoken of in deliverance language.
9. Demonic or evil spiritual influences.
10. Destructive satanic programs or patterns working against a person's progress.

The prayer of the believer is that anything God did not plant will be uprooted, and that every area of life will come under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

WHERE CAN STRANGERS OPERATE?

In deliverance teaching, strangers may be described as operating through areas such as:

• Persistent spiritual oppression
• Recurring disturbing dreams
• Repeated patterns of failure
• Fear and intimidation
• Destructive habits
• Unhealthy spiritual associations
• Occult involvement
• Witchcraft-related fears or experiences
• Ungodly covenants or practices
• Generational patterns
• Persistent attacks against prayer and spiritual growth
• Repeated experiences of stagnation and frustration

However, unusual physical sensations, illness, depression, hallucinations or suicidal thoughts should not automatically be interpreted as proof of demonic activity. Such experiences can have medical or psychological causes and deserve appropriate professional attention. Prayer can be pursued alongside responsible care.

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF GOD REMOVING WHAT DOES NOT BELONG

1. The Strange People and Foreign Influence

Throughout Scripture, God's people were repeatedly warned against influences that would turn them away from Him. Spiritual vigilance was therefore an important part of maintaining covenant faithfulness.

2. The Unclean Spirit

Jesus demonstrated His authority over unclean spirits. In Mark 1:27, the people recognized that even unclean spirits obeyed His authority.

3. The Strong Man

Luke 11:21-22 describes the strong man being overcome by a stronger one.

This gives us a powerful picture of the authority of Christ. Whatever power appears strong is not stronger than Jesus.

4. The Evil Plant

Jesus said:

“Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.” — Matthew 15:13

Therefore, our confidence is not in our own strength but in the authority of Christ.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT STRANGERS AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE

The believer is not called to live in fear.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle is not merely against human beings but involves spiritual forces of evil.

Therefore, our response must include prayer, faith, obedience, the Word of God and the whole armour of God.

James 4:7 says:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Notice the order: submit to God, then resist the devil.

Deliverance is not merely shouting at darkness. It is also surrendering every area of our lives to Jesus Christ.

PREPARING YOUR HEART BEFORE PRAYER

Before beginning these prayers:

• Repent of known sin.
• Ask God for mercy concerning unknown areas of disobedience.
• Renounce occult practices and ungodly spiritual associations.
• Forgive those you need to forgive.
• Surrender every area of your life to Jesus Christ.
• Reject fear.
• Read and meditate on God's Word.
• Pray with faith and persistence.
• Seek appropriate pastoral or professional help where necessary.

SESSION 6: VICTORY AND PERMANENT FREEDOM

48. I receive grace to walk daily in obedience to Jesus Christ and refuse every doorway that gives darkness a foothold in my life, in the name of Jesus.
49. I receive power from above to stand firm against every scheme of the enemy and to walk in the victory of Christ, in the name of Jesus.

PRACTICAL WAYS TO STAND AGAINST SPIRITUAL OPPRESSION

1. Submit your life completely to Christ

Do not fight spiritual battles while deliberately holding on to practices that contradict God's Word.

2. Close ungodly doors

If you have participated in occult practices, witchcraft, spiritual consultations outside Christ, or other practices contrary to Scripture, repent and renounce them.

3. Stay in the Word of God

Jesus defeated temptation with the Word. Build your spiritual life around Scripture rather than fear.

4. Maintain a strong prayer life

Prayer keeps your heart dependent upon God and strengthens you spiritually.

5. Walk in obedience

James 4:7 connects submission to God with resisting the devil.

6. Do not interpret every problem as demonic

Some problems require prayer. Others require medical care, counselling, practical action, financial planning, reconciliation, or other forms of responsible help. Seek the appropriate help while continuing to trust God.

7. Seek mature spiritual guidance

Where someone believes they are experiencing serious spiritual oppression, it can be helpful to seek prayer and guidance from a mature, biblically grounded Christian minister.

If someone is experiencing suicidal thoughts, hallucinations, severe confusion or other serious mental-health symptoms, they should also seek urgent professional help rather than relying on spiritual interpretation alone.

FINAL DECLARATION

I belong to Jesus Christ.

My life belongs to God.

Every stranger that God has not planted must fade away.

Every evil plantation must be uprooted.

Every satanic influence contrary to God's purpose must lose its hold.

Every chain of bondage must break.
