INTRODUCTION

Dreams of seeing dead people, graves, coffins, open pits, dead relatives, or even seeing yourself die can leave a person frightened and troubled.

Some people also experience an intense fear of death, repeated dreams involving funerals or graves, or a feeling that something is constantly pursuing their lives.

These experiences can be deeply disturbing.

As believers, however, our confidence is not in dreams, signs, fears, or the threats of darkness. Our confidence is in Jesus Christ, who is the resurrection and the life.

Jesus declared:

“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” — John 11:25

The purpose of these prayers is to call upon God for deliverance, protection, freedom from fear, and victory over every power of darkness associated with death and the grave.

Pray with faith.

Pray with persistence.

Pray like a wounded lion to get your miracle.

Do not allow fear to dominate your heart.

The Word of God says:

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

THE LORD HAS THE KEYS OF DEATH AND HELL

Jesus Christ has absolute authority over death and the grave.

Revelation 1:18 says:

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

This means that the believer's confidence must ultimately rest in Christ.

Death does not have the final authority over the child of God.

The grave does not have the final word.

Jesus has conquered death.

“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” — 1 Corinthians 15:55

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE TROUBLING DREAMS

Do not allow a disturbing dream to produce hopelessness or panic.

Take the matter to God in prayer.

Examine your life, repent of known sin, reject fear, and stand upon Scripture.

Psalm 91 declares:

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Pray for God's protection over your life, family, health, destiny, and future.

Continue walking with Christ and do not build your faith around dreams.
