I receive the grace of God.

I receive the favor of God.

I receive strength in my weakness.

I declare that the Lord's favor shall speak for me.

I declare that the face of God shall shine upon me.

I declare that I shall not be rejected where God has ordained that I should be accepted.

I declare that doors of favor shall open before me.

INTRODUCTION

The Bible tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from above.

James 1:17 says:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights.”

Jesus also said:

“A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” — John 3:27

Therefore, the ultimate source of divine favor is God.

Favor is the gracious hand of God upon a person's life.

It is when the face of God shines upon you.

The Bible says:

“Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.” — Psalm 31:16

Divine favor can cause a person who appears insignificant to receive extraordinary opportunities.

It can cause someone who has been rejected to be accepted.

It can cause a person who has been overlooked to be remembered.

It can cause a closed door to open.

It can cause a person to move from obscurity into prominence according to God's purpose.

Favor is not merely about money.

Favor can affect your family, marriage, career, business, ministry, education, health, relationships, opportunities, reputation, and destiny.

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF GOD'S FAVOR

JOSEPH

Joseph is one of the clearest examples of divine favor in Scripture.

Joseph experienced rejection, betrayal, slavery, false accusation, and imprisonment.

Yet favor followed him.

Genesis 39:21 says:

“But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour.”

Joseph eventually moved from prison to the palace.

In one day, God changed his position.

Genesis 41:41 says:

“And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.”

What men could not do for Joseph, God did through His favor.

ESTHER

Esther was a Jewish woman who became queen in a foreign kingdom.

She found favor before the king.

Esther 2:17 says:

“And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight.”

God's favor positioned Esther to become an instrument of deliverance for her people.

DAVID

David was a shepherd boy who became king.

God saw what others did not see.

Acts 13:22 says:

“I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart.”

God's favor can bring a person from an unexpected place into an unexpected position.

SAMUEL

Samuel experienced the favor of God even as a child.

1 Samuel 2:26 says:

“And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.”

Favor can begin working in a person's life before others understand what God is doing.

FACTS ABOUT GOD'S FAVOR

1. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF FAVOR

It is God who brings favor.

David was a shepherd boy before God elevated him.

Daniel was taken as a captive, yet God positioned him as a government official under multiple kings.

God can lift a person regardless of where that person begins.

2. GOD'S FAVOR IS NOT SOMETHING WE CAN PURCHASE

The favor of God cannot be bought with money.

It is a gift of grace.

3. FAVOR IS CONNECTED TO GOD'S PURPOSE

God's favor is not merely for personal comfort.

God can favor you so that you can accomplish your divine assignment.

Joseph's favor was connected to the preservation of lives.

Esther's favor was connected to the deliverance of God's people.

Your favor can also become a blessing to others.

4. FAVOR IS UNMERITED GRACE

Romans 9:15 says:

“I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

God's favor is an expression of His grace and mercy.

5. FAVOR CAN CHANGE A PERSON'S POSITION

One encounter with divine favor can change a person's story.

Joseph went from prison to the palace.

David went from the field to the throne.

Esther went from an orphaned Jewish girl to queen.

6. FAVOR CAN CAUSE PEOPLE TO SEE WHAT GOD HAS PLACED IN YOU

When God's favor rests upon you, doors can open for your gifts, abilities, character, and divine assignment to be recognized.

WHEN DO YOU NEED GOD'S FAVOR?

You need God's favor:

1. When all roads appear blocked.
2. When good doors are closed.
3. When the enemy has written you off.
4. When people have evil expectations concerning your life.
5. When your life appears stagnant.
6. When you are experiencing seasons of difficulty.
7. When friends or relatives have abandoned you.
8. When you are facing serious challenges.
9. When you need a job, promotion, contract, or business opportunity.
10. When you are facing a court case.
11. When you need to be chosen among competitors.
12. When you need acceptance.
13. When you need divine helpers.
14. When you need restoration.
15. When you need your God-given purpose to advance.

Esther found favor in the palace when she was competing with others.

Esther 2:15 says:

“And she obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.”

WHY DO YOU NEED GOD'S FAVOR?

God's favor can position you for what human strength cannot accomplish.

You need God's favor:

• To open doors that have been closed.
• To move forward instead of remaining stagnant.
• To experience acceptance where you were rejected.
• To receive divine opportunities.
• To recover lost opportunities according to God's will.
• To advance in your career.
• To receive wisdom in business.
• To fulfil your divine assignment.
• To carry out your purpose successfully.
• To silence opposition.
• To recover lost position and honor.
• To experience accelerated progress.
• To become a blessing to others.

Psalm 90:17 says:

“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us.”

WHAT CAN HINDER GOD'S FAVOR IN YOUR LIFE?

1. SIN

Sin can damage fellowship with God.

Isaiah 59:2 says:

“But your iniquities have separated between you and your God.”

Repentance and obedience should therefore be taken seriously.

2. UNBROKEN CURSES AND EVIL COVENANTS

The Bible teaches that Christ has redeemed believers from the curse of the law.

Galatians 3:13 says:

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law.”

Your confidence must therefore be in the finished work of Christ.

3. EVIL MARKS AND INCISIONS

If you have participated in occultic practices, rituals, or ungodly covenants, renounce them and seek God through prayer and repentance.

4. NAMES AND IDENTITY

Scripture contains examples of people whose names were changed in connection with significant changes in their lives.

Abram became Abraham.

Sarai became Sarah.

Jacob became Israel.

Your identity in Christ is more important than any negative label people have placed upon you.

5. OCCULTIC INVOLVEMENT

The believer must have nothing to do with occult practices.

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 warns against divination, witchcraft, sorcery, and related practices.

The answer is not to fear occult power.

The answer is to reject it and submit completely to Jesus Christ.

6. EVIL PATTERNS

Some people repeatedly experience destructive patterns in their lives.

Prayer, repentance, wisdom, godly counsel, and practical action can help break destructive cycles.

7. EVIL GARMENTS AND SPIRITUAL OPPRESSION

Scripture uses clothing imagery to describe shame, righteousness, salvation, and spiritual identity.

Isaiah 61:10 says:

“He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness.”

Your ultimate spiritual covering is found in God.

HOW DO YOU OBTAIN GOD'S FAVOR?

1. GET SAVED

Jesus Christ is the way to God.

John 14:6 says:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

2. BE A PERSON AFTER GOD'S HEART

Love God.

Obey His Word.

Walk in righteousness.

Seek His will.

3. DEAL WITH THINGS THAT HINDER YOUR WALK WITH GOD

Repent of sin.

Renounce occult involvement.

Break ungodly relationships and practices.

Seek godly counsel where necessary.

4. PRAY FOR GOD'S FAVOR

Ask God for favor.

David prayed:

“Let thy merciful kindness be upon us, according as we hope in thee.” — Psalm 33:22

PREPARING YOUR HEART BEFORE YOU PRAY

Before praying these warfare prayers:

• Surrender yourself completely to God.
• Repent of known sin.
• Renounce every occult practice.
• Forgive those you have chosen to forgive.
• Reject fear and discouragement.
• Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.
• Pray with faith.
• Remain obedient to God.
• Be diligent in your responsibilities.
• Expect God to open the right doors according to His will.
