50 POWERFUL PRAYERS AGAINST FORCES DELAYING MY BREAKTHROUGH WITH BIBLE VERSES

50 POWERFUL PRAYERS AGAINST FORCES DELAYING MY BREAKTHROUGH WITH BIBLE VERSES

Key Scripture

Daniel 10:12–13

“Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days…”

Introduction: Every Prolonged Delay Must Give Way to God's Purpose

There are seasons when you pray, fast, work hard, and do everything you know to do, yet your breakthrough seems far away. Opportunities may repeatedly slip from your hands. Your efforts may produce little results, while others appear to move forward with ease. You may be trusting God for a job, financial restoration, business growth, marriage, admission, promotion, healing, family peace, or progress in your calling.

When such delays persist, it is time to seek God earnestly, examine your steps, ask for wisdom, and pray with determination.

The Bible records Daniel's experience in Daniel 10. His prayer was heard from the first day, yet the answer encountered spiritual opposition before the angel reached him. This passage reminds believers that they can continue praying in faith even when they do not immediately see the outcome.

However, not every delay is caused by demonic forces. Some delays arise from circumstances, decisions, preparation, other people's actions, or matters that require practical attention. We should not assume that every closed door proves a spiritual attack. We can pray against spiritual opposition while asking God to reveal what needs to change and giving us wisdom to take the right steps.

Today, we will pray against every form of spiritual opposition, stagnation, repeated failure, and obstacle standing in the way of God's purpose for our lives.

1. Biblical Examples of Breakthrough After Delay

A. Daniel's prayer encountered opposition

Daniel 10:12–13

Daniel's prayer was heard from the first day, although the answer was delayed by opposition described in the passage. Daniel continued seeking God, and the messenger eventually reached him.

Prayer lesson: Do not abandon prayer simply because the answer has not appeared. Continue to trust God, seek His wisdom, and remain faithful.

B. The Israelites came out of prolonged bondage

Exodus 3:7–8

God told Moses that He had seen the affliction of His people, heard their cry, and come down to deliver them from the Egyptians.

Israel's long period of bondage did not prevent God from fulfilling His purpose of bringing His people out of Egypt.

Prayer lesson: A difficult season does not have to define the rest of your life. Ask God for deliverance, direction, courage, and the steps needed to move forward.

C. Joseph moved from imprisonment to leadership

Genesis 41:39–41

After years of hardship, betrayal, and imprisonment, Joseph was brought before Pharaoh and appointed to a position of authority in Egypt.

His journey included painful setbacks, but God gave him wisdom and positioned him for a new responsibility.

Prayer lesson: Remain faithful during preparation. Ask God to develop your character, open appropriate doors, and help you recognize the opportunities He places before you.

D. Hannah received an answer to her prayer

1 Samuel 1:10–20

Hannah poured out her heart before the Lord during a season of deep distress. In time, she conceived and gave birth to Samuel.

Prayer lesson: Bring your deepest concerns to God honestly. You can pray with faith while also receiving support and taking appropriate practical steps.

2. What the Bible Says About Delayed Breakthroughs

God's timing requires patience

Habakkuk 2:3

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

This verse encourages us to remain faithful when God's promises appear slow in coming. Waiting does not mean giving up on responsible action; it means continuing in faith without surrendering to despair.

God can make a way where none appears

Isaiah 43:19

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

God is able to lead His people through difficult circumstances and provide direction where the way forward seems unclear.

We must resist evil and submit to God

James 4:7

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Spiritual warfare begins with submission to God. We must turn away from sin, resist temptation, reject fear, and remain grounded in God's Word.

God can restore what has been lost

Joel 2:25

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…”

This promise was given to God's people in a particular context of restoration. It reminds us to seek God for renewal after seasons of loss, wasted opportunities, and hardship.

3. Areas Where You May Need a Breakthrough

Bring every area of prolonged delay before God, including:

• Career and employment: repeated rejection, stalled promotion, unemployment, or lack of direction.
• Business and finances: unproductive efforts, financial pressure, lost opportunities, or difficulty establishing stability.
• Family and relationships: unresolved conflict, delayed reconciliation, or the desire to build a healthy family.
• Education and calling: repeated examination setbacks, admission difficulties, scholarship applications, or uncertainty about your next step.
• Spiritual growth: discouragement, inconsistent prayer, loss of focus, or difficulty remaining steadfast.
• Personal development: fear, procrastination, harmful habits, poor decisions, or patterns that keep you from moving forward.

Pray boldly, but do not allow fear to convince you that an unseen enemy is responsible for every problem. Ask God for spiritual strength and practical wisdom together.

4. Powerful Bible Verses to Pray Against Delay

Psalm 70:1 — “Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.”

Isaiah 45:2 — “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight…”

Deuteronomy 1:6 — “Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount.”

Micah 7:8 — “When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”

Psalm 18:29 — “For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.”

Romans 8:31 — “If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Zechariah 4:6 — “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Galatians 6:9 — “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Psalm 90:17 — “And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us…”

Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

5. Preparing Your Heart Before You Pray

Before beginning these warfare prayers:

1. Submit your life to God. Confess your sins and ask for His forgiveness and guidance.
2. Identify the area of delay. Be specific about the breakthrough you are seeking.
3. Examine your steps. Ask whether there are habits, decisions, unfinished responsibilities, or practical obstacles that need attention.
4. Reject fear and discouragement. Do not let prolonged waiting convince you that God has abandoned you.
5. Stand on Scripture. Read the Bible verses aloud, reflect on their meaning, and pray with faith.
6. Take responsible action. Make the application, seek advice, pursue the opportunity, attend the appointment, or complete the task that may help you move forward.
7. Remain steadfast. Continue praying without treating every delay as proof of a curse or demonic attack.
