MY HEAVENS MUST OPEN: 50 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS WITH BIBLE VERSES

Key Scriptures

Ezekiel 1:1; Psalm 137:1; Malachi 3:10; Luke 3:21-22; James 4:7,10; Acts 16:25-26; Matthew 3:16-17; Deuteronomy 28:12.

Introduction

There is something called spiritual heavens over every nation, over every individual, over every family and over every situation.

When the heavens are open, there is a release of divine grace, favour, blessings, opportunities, breakthrough and God's intervention. When the heavens are closed, a person may experience unusual difficulty, repeated disappointment, fruitless labour and delayed expectations.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 28:12, “The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure.”

This shows us that there are treasures associated with open heavens.

The enemy can equally work to hinder a person's progress, but as believers, we must continually seek God and pray for open heavens.

When God is with you, His presence makes a difference. When His presence manifests, mountains begin to melt away.

Psalm 68:1-2 says, “Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered.”

When God arises over your life, every opposition against your progress must give way.

What Does It Mean for Your Heavens to Be Open?

Open heavens speak of a season of divine access, favour, intervention and release.

When heaven opened over Jesus, the Bible says in Luke 3:21-22 that the Holy Spirit descended upon Him and the voice of God was heard.

At Matthew 3:16-17, heaven opened and God's presence was manifested.

This is why we must pray:

“My heavens must open in the name of Jesus!”

Open heavens can bring divine opportunities, spiritual strength, favour, provision, direction and breakthrough.

Malachi 3:10 speaks of God opening the windows of heaven and pouring out blessing.

When God Comes Down, Mountains Melt

When the presence of God manifests, impossible situations can change.

Isaiah 64:1 says:

“Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down.”

The cry is for God to intervene.

When God comes down, what looked impossible can become possible. What has resisted you for years can give way. What has been delayed can receive divine intervention.

Psalm 97:5 says that the mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD.

Therefore, pray with faith:

My heavens, open by fire in the name of Jesus!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR HEAVENS ARE CLOSED?

According to the teaching of this message, closed heavens can manifest in many ways:

1. Demonic opposition becomes stronger and more difficult to overcome.
2. Nothing seems to come easily.
3. You plant much but reap very little.
4. Life becomes unnecessarily difficult.
5. There is profitless hard work.
6. Problems may remain even after deliverance prayers.
7. You labour greatly but achieve little.
8. Devourers are released against your labour.
9. You continue to live on past achievements.
10. Fresh fire becomes far from your spiritual life and prayers become ordinary noise.
11. The mind wanders during prayers.
12. Quiet time becomes dry.
13. Expectations are repeatedly cut short.
14. There is much investment but little result.
15. There are leakages in the purse.
16. Businesses may be running toward destruction.
17. There is scarcity of testimonies.
18. There is lack of divine visions, dreams and revelations.
19. There are cycles and chains of problems.
20. There is inexplicable hardship.
21. Darkness is experienced instead of light.
22. Error is encountered instead of truth.
23. A person may go to the wrong mountains and prophets for prayers.
24. Instead of love, there is hatred.
25. Instead of freedom, there is bondage.
26. Instead of joy, there is sorrow.

If there are open heavens, it means closed heavens can equally exist. Therefore, we must continually seek God, walk in obedience and pray for His divine intervention.

Biblical Examples of Open Heavens

1. Jesus — Luke 3:21-22

Jesus prayed, and the heaven was opened. The Holy Spirit descended, and God's voice was heard.

This shows the connection between prayer and divine manifestation.

2. Ezekiel — Ezekiel 1:1

Ezekiel testified that the heavens were opened and he saw visions of God.

What had been hidden became visible.

3. Paul and Silas — Acts 16:25-26

When God intervenes, closed doors can open and chains can break.

After a prolonged season of drought, rain eventually came.

God can bring an end to seasons of dryness and release refreshing.
