50 Powerful Prayers Against Satanic Cobweb Attacks With Bible Verses
Key Scriptures
Isaiah 59:5:
“They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web…”
Luke 10:19:
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy…”
Isaiah 54:17:
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…”
2 Corinthians 10:4:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.”
Introduction
Cobwebs are a familiar physical image, and Scripture uses the imagery of a spider's web in Isaiah 59:5-6 to describe the deceptive and destructive works of wickedness.
In deliverance prayer, “satanic cobwebs” is commonly used as a spiritual-warfare expression for invisible obstacles, entanglements, recurring delays, confusion, stagnation, and resistance that seem to obstruct a person's progress.
Some people also report repeatedly encountering cobwebs in dreams or experiencing an unexplained sensation of cobwebs touching their face or body. Such experiences should be approached with spiritual discernment. A dream or physical sensation by itself does not prove that a supernatural attack has occurred.
Nevertheless, believers can confidently pray against every form of spiritual oppression and every obstacle standing against God's purpose.
The Bible says:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4
Therefore, these prayers focus on breaking every spiritual entanglement, roadblock, embargo, stagnation, confusion and satanic resistance represented by the imagery of cobwebs.
What Do Cobwebs Represent in Spiritual Warfare?
Isaiah 59:5-6 uses the imagery of a spider's web while describing wickedness:
“Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works…”
The passage is not teaching that every physical spider or cobweb is demonic.
Rather, in warfare prayer, the imagery can remind us of things that entangle, trap, deceive, obstruct or cover.
Hebrews 12:1 says:
“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us…”
Therefore, when praying against satanic cobwebs, we are asking God to remove every evil entanglement and obstacle that interferes with our progress, obedience, purpose and testimony.
How Satanic Cobweb Attacks Are Commonly Described
In deliverance prayer language, satanic cobwebs are often described as spiritual roadblocks that appear when a person is approaching progress.
The perceived pattern may include:
- repeated delays
- frustration
- confusion
- stagnation
- rejection
- repeated disappointment
- failure at the edge of success
- unexplained setbacks
- lack of favour
- missed opportunities
- unfruitful labour
- recurring discouragement
- difficulty moving forward
The important thing is not to conclude automatically that every setback is caused by Satan. Some difficulties arise from circumstances, mistakes, lack of preparation, economic conditions, health issues, relationship problems, or other practical causes.
Prayer should therefore be combined with wisdom and appropriate action.
Effects Associated With Satanic Cobweb Attacks
In spiritual-warfare teaching, persistent cobweb imagery is often associated with:
- Frustration and discouragement
- Delays
- Financial hardship
- Confusion
- Spiritual accusations
- Backwardness
- Failure
- Stagnation
- Lack of favour
- Setbacks
- Delayed marriage
- Failure at the edge of success
- Disappointment
- Unfruitful labour
- Rejection
- Sickness and weakness
- Barrenness or unfruitfulness
- Sorrow and pain
- Lack of helpful connections
These are prayer concerns, not automatic diagnoses. For example, sickness or miscarriage should never be assumed to have been caused by cobwebs; medical care should be sought where appropriate while prayer continues.
Why You Must Break Every Evil Entanglement
1. God wants His people to walk in freedom
Galatians 5:1 says:
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free…”
2. God has given believers authority over the enemy
Luke 10:19 says:
“I give unto you power… over all the power of the enemy.”
3. God does not want His children trapped in cycles
Psalm 124:7 declares:
“Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers…”
4. Weapons formed against believers will not ultimately prevail
Isaiah 54:17 says:
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.”
5. God can make a way through impossible situations
Isaiah 43:19 says:
“Behold, I will do a new thing…”
The Way Out of Satanic Cobweb Attacks
1. Give your life to Christ
Your first defence is your relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. Submit yourself to God
James 4:7 says:
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
3. Reject every evil entanglement
Renounce every sinful or destructive pattern that keeps you trapped.
4. Pray aggressively with Scripture
Use the Word of God as the foundation of your spiritual warfare.
5. Walk in obedience
Spiritual warfare should never become a substitute for obedience to God.
6. Take practical steps
Where the problem involves employment, finances, education, relationships, health or other practical matters, take appropriate action alongside prayer.
7. Seek godly counsel
Proverbs 11:14 says:
“In the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
Preparing Your Heart Before You Pray
A. Thank God
Thank God for preserving your life and for the victory He gives through Christ.
B. Confess Your Sins
Ask God for mercy and confess known sins.
1 John 1:9 says:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins…”
C. Praise and Worship
Praise God before beginning the warfare prayers.
D. Read the Word
Read Luke 10:19, Isaiah 54:17, Psalm 91 and 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
E. Pray With Faith
Remember that your confidence is in Christ, not in the volume of your voice or a particular formula.
