God is loving, merciful, and gracious, but He is also holy and righteous. We should never take His grace for granted.
Common Misunderstandings About the Fear of the Lord
It Does Not Mean Living in Terror
God does not desire His children to live in constant fear of punishment.
It Does Not Mean God Is Unloving
The same God who is holy is also compassionate, merciful, and full of love.
It Does Not Mean Perfection
The fear of the Lord does not require flawless living. It means having a heart that sincerely seeks to honor God and quickly repents when it falls short.
