We are praying for the death and destruction of witchcraft activities, evil covens, satanic manipulation, wicked spiritual operations, evil covenants, curses, attacks, enchantments and every agenda of darkness working against God's purpose.

Exodus 22:18 contains a severe command from the Mosaic Law concerning sorcery in ancient Israel. It should not be interpreted as a personal instruction for Christians today to identify and physically harm people accused of witchcraft.

The New Testament directs believers toward spiritual warfare.

Ephesians 6:12 says:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world…”

Therefore, our warfare is directed against the works of darkness, while leaving judgment and vengeance in God's hands.

Witchcraft is associated in Scripture with forbidden spiritual practices, occultism, sorcery and attempts to obtain supernatural power apart from God.

Galatians 5:19-21 lists witchcraft among the works of the flesh.

At the same time, Christians should be careful not to accuse relatives, neighbours, colleagues or other individuals without evidence.

A difficult season, sickness, financial problem, failed relationship or repeated disappointment does not automatically prove that a particular person is a witch.

What Must Die?

When we say “That witch must die,” our prayer target should be every evil operation behind the attack:

Are All Family Problems Caused by Witchcraft?

No.

It would be unsafe and unbiblical to conclude that every family has a specific witchcraft representative or that every family problem is caused by a witch.

Families can experience problems because of sin, poor decisions, conflict, poverty, addiction, injustice, illness, trauma, lack of opportunity, unhealthy relationships and many other causes.

Nevertheless, Christians can pray against spiritual oppression while also addressing practical causes.

James 1:5 says:

1. Give your life to Christ

Your first defence is Jesus Christ.
