MY FATHER, ARISE AND PROMOTE ME

Key Scripture: Psalm 75:6–7

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”

Introduction

Promotion is the act of being lifted from one level to another by the power and favour of God. It is the advancement of a person from a lower position to a higher one, from obscurity to recognition, from stagnation to progress, and from limitation to greater opportunities.

The Bible makes it clear that true promotion comes from God. No matter how long you have waited, how many disappointments you have experienced, or how many people have overlooked your efforts, God has the power to change your story.

There are times when people labour faithfully but remain unnoticed. Some experience repeated rejection, unexpected demotion, stagnation, or disappointment in their careers, businesses, ministries, and personal lives.

But when God arises on your behalf, He can open doors that no man can shut, grant you favour before those who make decisions, and establish you in places you never imagined.

This is why you must not surrender to discouragement. Continue to pray, work diligently, improve your abilities, and trust God to establish you.

In this prayer session, we shall call upon the Lord to remove every hindrance to our promotion, break every evil limitation, and usher us into our divinely appointed next level.

Biblical Examples of Divine Promotion

1. Joseph: From Prison to the Palace

Joseph was sold into slavery and imprisoned unjustly, but God eventually elevated him to a position of authority in Egypt (Genesis 41:39–41).

2. David: From the Pasture to the Throne

David was a shepherd boy when God chose him to become king over Israel (1 Samuel 16:11–13; 2 Samuel 5:3–4).

3. Mordecai: From the King's Gate to Honour

Mordecai was honoured by the king after a period of being overlooked (Esther 6:1–11).

These examples remind us that a person's present position does not determine what God can do in the future.

Psalm 75:6–7: Promotion comes from God, who brings one down and lifts another up.
