Anti-harvest refers to anything that works against the expected results of a person's labor, effort, investment, or planting.

A harvest is the outcome of what has been planted. It may represent financial reward, business growth, career advancement, academic success, family progress, spiritual fruitfulness, or the fulfillment of a long-awaited expectation.

God desires His people to enjoy the fruit of their labor. In Isaiah 65:22–23, the Bible speaks of people enjoying the work of their hands and not laboring in vain.

Anti-harvest, in the context of spiritual warfare, describes the opposition, obstacles, and destructive patterns that seem to prevent a person from enjoying the results of hard work.

Some people work tirelessly but struggle to see meaningful progress. Others experience repeated setbacks just when a breakthrough appears close. These situations can also involve practical issues such as poor planning, exploitation, unexpected expenses, or unfavorable circumstances. Prayer, wisdom, diligence, and sound decisions can work together toward restoration.

What Is a Harvest?

A harvest can be understood as:

• The gathering of what has been planted.
• The fruit or result of one's labor.
• The reward for work completed.
• The yield of an investment or effort.
• The fulfillment of a goal or expectation.
• The enjoyment of goodness and provision.
• The manifestation of fruitfulness.
• The outcome of faithful service.
• The result of perseverance and diligence.
