What are Showers?Showers are rainfall. God sends Showers (Matthew 4:45). God is sovereign and controls the rainfall. I King 18:1. He controls when, how, how, and quantity of rain. Genesis 7:4, 8:2.
God in His word promised rain. Zechariah 10:1

What does rain (showers) represent?1. Out pouring of the Word of God. (Deuteronomy 32:1-2).The letter we are told kills while the spirit gives life.
2. Outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Numbers 6:3,Isaiah 44:3)
3. His Presence
4. Open Heavens. Elisha in 2 Kings 7:1-2, 16-20.
5. Open Windows. Malachi 3:10.
6. Season of Refreshing/Newness Acts 3:19

How do you trigger the rain?1. Bring God in remembrance of His promises in His word.
2. Memorize scriptures that can trigger your rain.
3. Refuse to be frustrated.
4. Have violent faith in God
5. Repent of all sin.
6. Pray and fast.
7. Remember God’s past goodness and thank Him for it. Psalm 63:7.
8. Be patient James 5:7.

Results of Showers Jeremiah 31:10-14There are several things that result from the showers from Heaven. The showers bring an end to famine and drought. 1 King 18:41-45. It brings fruitfulness in all areas of life. It ushers in increase and prosperity. It cause the God of the suddenly to appear. Malachi 1:
It leads to 24 hours miracles 2 King 7:1-2, 16-20.

What can prevent the showers?
God controls the quantity, quality, and timing of showers. When there are no showers there will be famine and lack. 2 King 6:24-29. There are many factors that trigger this terrible situation.
1. Sin 2 Chronicle 6:26, Isaiah 5:6.
2. Divine judgement Deut. 28:24)
3. Ancestral covenants and curses 2 Samuel 21:1-2, 1 King 17:1.
4. Disobedience 2 Chronicle 7:22.

What then is the way out of drought and resulting famine?1. Repent of sin and pray for mercy
2. Make God your friend by getting born again.
3. Pray inquiry prayers like David “O Lord why is there no rain over my life?”
4. Pray for divine intervention Zechariah 10:1, Hosea 10:12

Prayers:
1. Jesus Son of David, have mercy on me today.
2. The heavens over my life open by fire.
3. O Lord, open the heavens and pour your showers over my life.
4. Every evil umbrella preventing heavenly rain from falling on me, catch fire.
