50 Powerful Prayers Against Powers That Turn Helpers Against You With Bible Verses

Introduction
There are seasons when someone who previously supported you suddenly becomes distant, hostile, unwilling to help or unwilling to listen to you.
A person may have promised to help with employment, business, admission, finances, marriage, ministry, relocation or another legitimate opportunity, only for the relationship to suddenly change.
Sometimes there are ordinary explanations. People can change their minds, circumstances can change, misunderstandings can occur, trust can be damaged, or the person may simply be unable or unwilling to continue helping.
However, when a person repeatedly experiences unexplained hostility, loss of favor or sudden opposition from people who previously appeared supportive, it is reasonable to pray for wisdom, favor, reconciliation where appropriate and divine intervention.
In Christian prayer language, a helper of destiny can refer to someone God uses to provide legitimate assistance, encouragement, access, counsel, opportunity or support at an important point in a person's journey.
These prayers are therefore not about controlling another person's will. They are prayers asking God to protect legitimate relationships, remove unnecessary misunderstanding, expose deception, restore appropriate favor and connect us with the right people.
We should also remember that not every person who refuses to help is an enemy. Sometimes God redirects us away from a particular person toward another source of help.
Biblical Examples of Favor and Divine Helpers
1. Joseph and Pharaoh
Joseph went from prison to standing before Pharaoh.
Genesis 41:14–16
God positioned Joseph before someone who had the authority to recognize his gift and provide an opportunity.
2. Esther and the King
Esther received favor before King Ahasuerus.
Esther 2:17
Her access to the king became important for the preservation of God's people.
3. Nehemiah and King Artaxerxes
Nehemiah needed permission and resources to rebuild Jerusalem.
He testified:

“The king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.”
God worked through the king to advance the assignment.
4. Ruth and Boaz
Ruth received favor from Boaz while working in the field.
Ruth 2:10–12
Boaz became an important source of protection and provision in Ruth's story.
5. Paul and the Disciples
After Paul's conversion, many believers were understandably afraid of him.
Barnabas helped him by bringing him to the apostles and speaking on his behalf.
Acts 9:26–27
God used Barnabas to help establish Paul's acceptance among the believers.
What the Bible Says About Favor and Human Relationships
The Bible shows that God can give His people favor before people.
Proverbs 16:7 teaches that when a person's ways please the Lord, even enemies can be brought into peace.
Proverbs 21:1 reminds us that the hearts of rulers are ultimately under God's authority.
Psalm 5:12 describes divine favor as a shield.
But biblical favor does not mean that everyone will always agree with us or help us.
Jesus Himself experienced rejection.
Paul experienced opposition.
David had people who supported him and others who opposed him.
Therefore, our confidence must be in God, not in human beings.
People may be instruments God uses, but God remains the ultimate source of help.
When to Pray About Losing the Support of Helpers
These prayers may be appropriate when:
- A promising opportunity suddenly changes.
- Someone who previously supported you becomes hostile.
- A legitimate recommendation is unexpectedly withdrawn.
- A business partner suddenly becomes opposed to your proposal.
- Someone who promised assistance changes their position.
- A misunderstanding appears to destroy a useful relationship.
- You repeatedly lose support at critical stages.
- People appear to misunderstand your intentions.
- You need reconciliation with someone where reconciliation is appropriate.
- You need God to connect you with a different source of legitimate help.
Do not use these prayers as a reason to accuse someone of witchcraft or spiritual manipulation without evidence.
Preparing Your Heart Before You Pray
Before praying:
- Ask God to examine your own actions.
- Consider whether you have offended or disappointed someone.
- Correct genuine mistakes where possible.
- Ask for forgiveness where you have done wrong.
- Refuse bitterness toward people who have refused to help you.
- Ask God to restore appropriate relationships.
- Ask God to remove relationships that are not good for you.
