INTRODUCTION
Jesus Christ has called His followers to be His witnesses.
Witnessing is more than standing behind a pulpit or preaching to a large crowd. It can happen in a conversation with a friend, at work, in school, in a neighbourhood, online, during a difficult moment or whenever God provides an opportunity to speak about Christ.
Yet many believers struggle to witness boldly.
Some fear rejection.
Some are afraid of being mocked.
Some do not know what to say.
Others feel inadequate because they believe they do not know enough Scripture.
Some wait for a perfect opportunity that never seems to come.
But Jesus did not call only pastors, evangelists or preachers to be His witnesses. Every believer is called to represent Christ.
The Holy Spirit gives believers power and boldness to testify about Jesus.
These prayers ask God to remove fear, increase our love for lost people, give us wisdom and compassion, open doors for gospel conversations and help us speak about Jesus with courage and grace.

Fear of rejection
Nobody enjoys being rejected, mocked or misunderstood.
Fear of saying the wrong thing
Some believers remain silent because they feel they must have an answer to every possible question.
Lack of confidence
A believer may know Christ personally but struggle to explain the faith clearly.
Fear of people's opinions
Concern about reputation can become stronger than the desire to make Christ known.
Lack of preparation
Knowing the basic message of the gospel and having relevant Scriptures can increase confidence.

Peter and John
After receiving the Holy Spirit, Peter and John spoke about Jesus with remarkable boldness despite opposition.
Acts 4:20 says:

Stephen
Stephen boldly testified about God's truth even when facing intense opposition.
Philip
Philip responded to an opportunity to explain Scripture to the Ethiopian eunuch.

Pray for opportunities

Understand the basic message of sin, repentance, God's love, the death and resurrection of Christ, grace and salvation.
Share your testimony
You do not need to know everything to explain what Jesus has done in your life.
Listen to people
Good witnessing includes listening rather than simply speaking.

Boldness does not mean being unnecessarily harsh or argumentative.
Use Scripture wisely
The Word of God gives substance to our testimony.
Do not fear rejection

Study the Bible so you can explain the foundation of your faith.
Keep your testimony clear and truthful.
Learn to explain the gospel simply.
Do not turn every conversation into an argument.
Listen carefully.
Speak with compassion.
Do not be ashamed of Christ.
Remember that witnessing is about faithfully representing Jesus, not controlling how people respond.
When someone rejects your message, continue to love the person.
When someone asks questions, respond with humility.
When someone is ready to hear, do not allow fear to silence you.
