Introduction
Living with chronic pain can be exhausting. Persistent pain can affect sleep, movement, work, emotions, relationships and everyday activities. When pain continues for a long time, it can also become a source of discouragement and frustration.
But the Bible reveals God as the healer and the One who gives strength to the weary.
Exodus 15:26 says:
“I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
As believers, we can bring our pain before God and pray boldly for healing, mercy, strength and restoration.
These prayers are written in an intense warfare and deliverance style, confronting every form of affliction and asking God to destroy whatever is causing suffering.
However, chronic pain can have many medical causes. Prayer should not replace medical evaluation, diagnosis, medication, physiotherapy, surgery or other appropriate treatment. If pain is persistent, severe, worsening, or accompanied by concerning symptoms, seek qualified medical care.
We pray in faith, while also using wisdom.
Today, we are standing upon God's Word and crying out for divine intervention.
Every persistent affliction must give way to the power of God.
