CONNECTING TO THE LIFTER OF HEADS | 50 POWERFUL PRAYERS FOR DIVINE LIFTING WITH BIBLE VERSES
KEY SCRIPTURE
“But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” — Psalm 3:3 (KJV)
“The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.” — 1 Samuel 2:6 (KJV)
INTRODUCTION
There is a God who can lift a person from a low position into a place of honour.
He can lift the rejected.
He can lift the forgotten.
He can lift the person whose efforts have produced little visible progress.
He can lift the person who has experienced repeated disappointment.
He can lift the person whose opportunities have been delayed.
He can lift the person whose name has been overlooked.
God is the lifter of heads.
David described God as his glory and the lifter of his head.
Joseph moved from the prison to the palace.
Esther moved from an obscure position into the palace.
Mordecai moved from sitting at the king's gate to receiving public honour.
God can change a person's position, but divine lifting is ultimately about God's purpose, not merely status or material possessions.
When God lifts a person, He can bring restoration, favour, recognition, opportunity, usefulness, influence and greater responsibility.
Therefore, if you have been experiencing stagnation, rejection, limitation, repeated disappointment or prolonged low seasons, bring your situation before the Lord.
Father, lift my head and establish me according to Your purpose, in the name of Jesus.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR GOD TO LIFT YOUR HEAD?
To have your head lifted in the biblical sense can represent:
- Restoration
- Honour
- Favour
- Encouragement
- Promotion
- Recognition
- Victory over opposition
- Recovery from shame
- Freedom from humiliation
- A change of circumstances
- New opportunities
- Greater usefulness
- Divine establishment
- Progress after stagnation
- Moving from one level of responsibility to another
Divine lifting does not mean that every believer will receive the same position, wealth or public recognition.
Rather, we ask God to remove whatever is hindering His purpose and establish us in the place He has ordained for us.
WHAT CAN FIGHT DIVINE LIFTING?
In warfare-prayer language, people may pray against:
- Stagnation
- Persistent delay
- Repeated disappointment
- Fear
- Discouragement
- Destructive relationships
- Wrong decisions
- Missed opportunities
- Unproductive labour
- Financial setbacks
- Opposition
- Evil pronouncements
- Witchcraft attacks
- Household wickedness
- Evil covenants
- Foundational patterns
- Lack of wisdom
- Self-sabotaging behaviour
Not every delay or setback is necessarily caused by a spiritual power. Some situations require repentance, education, improved decisions, professional advice, financial discipline, medical care or other practical action.
Prayer should therefore be joined with wisdom and responsible action.
