Isaiah 30:18–19

Introduction
There are seasons when the pressures of life become so heavy that a person begins to ask, “When will this sorrow end?”
Some people cry because of delayed expectations.
Some cry because of family problems.
Some cry because of marriage, finances, health challenges, disappointment, rejection, infertility, loss, betrayal or repeated failure.
But the Bible gives us hope.
Psalm 30:5 says:
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Your present tears do not have to become your permanent testimony.
God is still able to visit His people.
He is still able to change stories.
He is still able to restore hope.
He is still able to turn mourning into dancing.
Psalm 30:11 says:
“Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing…”
Therefore, instead of allowing worry and sorrow to consume you, turn your tears into prayer.
Take the situation before God.
Cry to Him.
Ask for mercy.
Ask for divine intervention.
Ask Him to change your story.
Weeping Is Not the End of Your Story
There is nothing wrong with crying when you are hurting. Even Jesus wept.
John 11:35 says:
“Jesus wept.”
Therefore, crying itself is not a sin or a sign of weak faith.
The danger comes when sorrow causes you to lose hope in God.
The believer must learn to take sorrow to the Lord in prayer.
1 Peter 5:7 says:
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
Your tears can become prayers.
Your pain can become a testimony.
Your difficult season can become an opportunity to experience God's faithfulness.
Biblical Examples of God Turning Weeping Into Joy
Hannah
Hannah wept because of her barrenness, but she took her pain to God in prayer.
1 Samuel 1:10:
“And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.”
God eventually answered her prayer.
The Israelites
Israel cried under oppression in Egypt, and God heard them.
Exodus 3:7:
“I have surely seen the affliction of my people… and have heard their cry…”
God intervened.
Lazarus
When Lazarus died, the situation appeared final. But Jesus came and called him out of the tomb.
John 11:43:
“Lazarus, come forth.”
What appeared finished was not beyond the power of God.
David
David experienced seasons of intense distress, yet he repeatedly turned to God.
Psalm 34:17:
“The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
Divine Visitation Can Change Your Story
Throughout Scripture, divine visitation brought transformation.
God visited Sarah.
God visited Hannah.
God visited Obed-Edom.
God visited the children of Israel.
God answered the prayers of His people.
The prayer today is:
“O Lord, visit me and change my story for good.”
When God visits a situation, what appeared impossible can change.
Jeremiah 32:27 says:
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”
Preparing Your Heart Before Prayer
Before praying these warfare prayers:
- Thank God for keeping you alive.
- Confess your sins and ask for mercy.

Faith Confession
Declare this boldly:
I will weep no more.
My tears are not my destiny.
