INTRODUCTION
Foundational bondage refers, in the language of deliverance ministry, to spiritual patterns, covenants, practices, destructive influences or family histories that a person believes may be affecting their present life.
The Bible teaches that Christ has redeemed believers from the curse of the law.
Galatians 3:13 says:
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law.”
Therefore, our confidence in deliverance is not in fear, rituals or human power. Our confidence is in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
Some people experience recurring patterns in their families, relationships, finances, health, spiritual lives or other areas and seek God in prayer for freedom. At the same time, not every difficulty is necessarily caused by a spiritual foundation; wisdom, medical care, practical action and godly counsel may also be necessary.
These prayers are therefore offered as prayers of faith, repentance, renunciation of evil and dependence upon the power of Jesus Christ.
WHAT DOES FOUNDATIONAL DELIVERANCE MEAN?
Foundational deliverance is the prayerful process of seeking God concerning things from the past that may have affected one's present life.
These may include:
- sinful family patterns
- involvement in idolatry or occult practices
- destructive covenants
- ungodly dedications
- harmful spiritual influences
- recurring destructive patterns
- inherited family practices
- personal involvement in sinful practices
- unhealthy relationships and associations
- words, curses or declarations that have caused fear and bondage
The answer of the Christian is not fear.
The answer is Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says:
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
BIBLICAL FOUNDATION FOR DELIVERANCE
1. Christ has redeemed us
Galatians 3:13 establishes the believer's redemption through Christ.
2. Jesus has authority over spiritual powers
Colossians 2:15 declares that Christ triumphed over principalities and powers.
3. God can deliver from evil
Psalm 34:17 says:
“The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
4. God can break destructive patterns
Psalm 107:14 says:
“He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.”
5. Jesus gives freedom
John 8:36 says:
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
PREPARING YOUR HEART FOR DELIVERANCE PRAYER
1. Thank God
Thank God for providing salvation and deliverance through Jesus Christ.
2. Confess Your Sins
Confess your known sins sincerely before God. Where you know of personal involvement in sinful or occult practices, repent and renounce them.
You may also ask God for mercy concerning sinful practices that occurred within your family history, without assuming personal guilt for sins you did not commit.
3. Renounce Evil
Where there has been personal involvement in idolatry, occult practices, ungodly covenants or other sinful practices, renounce those practices and turn fully to Christ.
4. Forgive
Ask God for grace to forgive those who have hurt you.
5. Believe God's Word
Do not pray from fear. Pray from faith in Jesus Christ.
Luke 10:19 reminds believers of Christ's authority over the power of the enemy.

- Father, where there has been sinful involvement in my family history, let Your mercy speak over my life, in the name of Jesus.

SESSION TWO: BREAKING CURSES, COVENANTS AND EVIL FOUNDATIONS
- I break and release myself from every evil curse working against my life, in the name of Jesus.
- I reject every evil pattern that has repeatedly manifested in my family line, in the name of Jesus.
- I renounce every ungodly dedication and every practice that is contrary to the lordship of Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil foundational stronghold attached to my life, lose your power now, in the name of Jesus.
- Let every rod of wickedness rising against my family line be rendered powerless over my life, in the name of Jesus.
- I cancel every evil label, name, word or declaration that has been used against my life, in the name of Jesus.
- I break and release myself from every form of demonic bewitchment and spiritual oppression, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil foundational plantation, come out with all your roots, in the name of Jesus.

- Every evil physical design and every destructive pattern contrary to God's purpose for my life, lose your hold, in the name of Jesus.
- Every parental curse and every negative word contrary to God's purpose for my life, lose your power, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil effect of envious rivalry working against my destiny, be destroyed, in the name of Jesus.
- Every demonic or occultic practice involving blood or bodily harm that has affected my family history, lose your power over me, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil dedication made concerning my life, be cancelled by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil alteration and every manipulation contrary to God's purpose for my destiny, be overturned, in the name of Jesus.
- Every demonic incision or ritual mark associated with occultic practices, lose every spiritual significance over my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil marital or relationship covenant contrary to God's will, be broken, in the name of Jesus.
- Every dream pollution and every recurring evil dream pattern troubling my life, be terminated by fire, in the name of Jesus.

- Every sinful pattern associated with my conception, birth or early life that has become a source of fear or bondage, be broken by the power of Christ, in the name of Jesus.
- Every destructive effect of polygamous family conflict, rivalry or division affecting my life, be broken, in the name of Jesus.
- Every fellowship with local idols or ungodly spiritual practices in my family history, let every influence contrary to Christ lose its power over me, in the name of Jesus.
- Every influence resulting from consultation with false prophets, diviners, occult practitioners or demonic consultants, be completely broken from my life, in the name of Jesus.

SESSION FIVE: RESTORATION, HEALING AND TOTAL FREEDOM
- Lord Jesus, walk into every area of my life where I need deliverance, healing and restoration, in the name of Jesus.
- Lord Jesus, heal me where I need healing and transform me where I need transformation, in the name of Jesus.
- Lord Jesus, restore me to the good purpose and design You have for my life, in the name of Jesus.
- I soak my life, soul and spirit in the precious blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- Every foundational power resisting my progress, lose your power now, in the name of Jesus.
- Every recurring cycle of failure, disappointment, stagnation and frustration contrary to God's purpose for me, break now, in the name of Jesus.
- Every good thing that has been damaged by destructive patterns, Lord, restore it according to Your will, in the name of Jesus.
- I declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over my life, my future, my family and my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
- I declare that the power of Christ is greater than every bondage, every curse and every evil influence, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, thank You for delivering me from every foundational bondage and for establishing me in the liberty of Christ, in the name of Jesus.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Christ has redeemed me from the curse.
Jesus Christ is Lord over my life.
Every bondage contrary to God's purpose for me is broken.
Every evil plantation is uprooted.
Every ungodly covenant is cancelled.
Every evil influence loses its power over me.
Every destructive pattern is broken.
I belong to Jesus Christ.
My life shall fulfill the purpose of God.
I walk in freedom.
I walk in divine protection.

I declare over your life today:
Every chain of bondage that has troubled you is broken by the power of Jesus Christ.

You shall not remain a prisoner of your past.

Let the blood of Jesus speak mercy and victory over my life.
