Introduction

There are seasons when a person may feel as though progress has become unusually slow, opportunities keep slipping away, or long-awaited answers remain beyond reach. Such seasons can be spiritually and emotionally exhausting.

The Bible, however, teaches us to trust God's timing while continuing to pray, obey, and stand firmly in faith.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9

Not every delay is caused by spiritual opposition. Some delays may result from circumstances, preparation, wise timing, personal decisions, or God's redirection. Therefore, these prayers should be prayed with discernment, asking God to remove every hindrance that is contrary to His will while also giving you patience and wisdom to recognize His timing.

What the Bible Says About Delay

The Bible contains many examples of people who waited for God's promises.

Abraham waited for the fulfillment of God's promise concerning his son.

Joseph experienced years of hardship before entering the position God had prepared for him.

David was anointed king but waited before occupying the throne.

These examples teach us that waiting does not always mean rejection.

“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” — Lamentations 3:25

Before praying:

1. Commit your plans and desires to God.
2. Ask God to reveal any personal hindrance that needs correction.
3. Repent of known sin.

How to Use These Six Prayer Sessions

These 50 prayer points are divided into six sessions so you can pray them systematically.

You may pray one session each day or combine several sessions according to your available time.

Begin each session with thanksgiving and worship. Read each Bible verse carefully, pray the prayer point with faith, and mention your personal situations before God.

Session 1 focuses on thanksgiving and surrender. Sessions 2–5 address delay, stagnation, hindrances, missed opportunities, and spiritual opposition. Session 6 focuses on restoration, divine timing, breakthrough, and declarations of victory.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promises.
