Introduction
Foundational issues can become a source of deep concern when a person repeatedly encounters destructive patterns that seem difficult to overcome.
Some people experience recurring struggles involving failure, delay, broken relationships, financial hardship, fear, destructive habits, or other troubling patterns and begin asking whether something from their past is affecting their present.
The Bible teaches that Christ has redeemed believers from the curse and that those who are in Christ are new creations.
Therefore, Christian prayer should not be based on fear or the belief that a believer is permanently controlled by their family history.
Instead, we can bring every concern before God, reject anything contrary to His will, stand upon the finished work of Christ, and ask Him to bring complete restoration into every area of our lives.
