INTRODUCTION

WHAT ARE HIDDEN CURSES?

A hidden curse, in the context of these prayers, refers to a harmful word, pronouncement, destructive pattern, spiritual opposition or negative influence whose origin or operation may not be immediately known.

A person may be aware that something is wrong without knowing exactly why it is happening.

This can include prayer concerns involving:

• Evil words spoken against you.
• Negative pronouncements.
• Destructive family patterns.
• Harmful agreements or covenants.
• Persistent opposition.
• Repeated patterns of failure.
• Repeated setbacks.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT CURSES AND GOD'S BLESSING

When Balak wanted Balaam to curse Israel, God prevented the curse from prevailing.

“How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed?” — Numbers 23:8

Balaam later declared:

“He hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.” — Numbers 23:20
