You may have good ideas but struggle to get the opportunity to demonstrate them.
You may be surrounded by difficult colleagues or supervisors.
You may simply desire God's favor to excel, succeed, and make a meaningful impact through your work.
The Bible shows that God can give His people favor before others.
Joseph found favor even in difficult environments.
Daniel distinguished himself through an excellent spirit.
Esther received favor before the king.
Therefore, when you pray for workplace favor, do not pray only for promotion.
Ask God for wisdom, excellence, integrity, good relationships, divine opportunities, protection, recognition, and the grace to succeed without compromising your values.
Biblical Examples
Joseph
Joseph experienced several difficult environments, including slavery and imprisonment.
Yet the Lord was with him.
Genesis 39:21 says:
“But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and he gave him favour.”
Joseph eventually moved from prison to a position of authority in Egypt.
His difficult workplace circumstances could not cancel God's purpose.
Daniel
Daniel worked in a highly competitive government environment.
His enemies searched for reasons to accuse him but could find no fault in his work.
Daniel 6:4 says:
“Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him.”
Daniel's excellence distinguished him.
Esther
Esther received favor before King Ahasuerus.
Esther 2:17 says:
“And the king loved Esther above all the women.”
God used Esther's position to accomplish a greater purpose.
Nehemiah
Nehemiah was given an important position in the king's palace before eventually receiving permission and resources to rebuild Jerusalem.
His work required prayer, leadership, wisdom, courage, and perseverance.

1. God Can Give You Favor
Proverbs 3:3–4 teaches that walking in God's ways can bring favor and good understanding.
Favor is not merely about being liked.
God can cause the right people to recognize your work and open opportunities according to His purpose.

Proverbs 22:29 says:
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings.”
Prayer should be accompanied by diligence.

Do not allow gossip and unnecessary conversations to damage your reputation.
