50 Powerful Prayer Points for a Life That Is Under Spiritual Attack
50 Powerful Prayer Points for a Life That Is Under Spiritual Attack
Key Scripture
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
Introduction
There are seasons when life can feel like one battle after another.
You overcome one problem, and another suddenly appears.
You pray for peace, but another disturbing situation arises.
You make progress, but something seems to come against your advancement.
You may begin to ask:
“Why am I experiencing so much opposition?”
“Why do these battles keep coming back?”
“Is my life under spiritual attack?”
Persistent battles can affect your peace, confidence, family, finances, relationships, spiritual life, and hope for the future.
However, you should not respond to spiritual pressure with fear.
The Bible says:
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” — Psalm 27:1
When you feel under spiritual attack, take the matter before God.
Ask Him for protection, wisdom, discernment, strength, deliverance, restoration, and victory.
Remember that not every difficulty is necessarily a spiritual attack. Some problems may require practical solutions, changes in decisions, better boundaries, greater discipline, or wise counsel.
Therefore, pray for God to reveal the truth about your situation and show you what you need to do.
Biblical Examples
David
David experienced intense opposition from King Saul and other enemies.
He was hunted, threatened, betrayed, and surrounded by danger.
Yet David continued to trust God.
He declared:
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” — Psalm 27:1
His battles did not cancel God's purpose for his life.
Job
Job experienced devastating losses and severe trials.
His circumstances became so painful that he struggled to understand what was happening.
Yet Job continued to seek God.
His story eventually became one of restoration.
Job 42:10
Daniel
Daniel lived in an environment where his faith was opposed.
His enemies even used his commitment to prayer against him.
Daniel nevertheless continued praying to God.
Daniel 6:10
God preserved him in the lions' den.
Joseph
Joseph experienced betrayal, slavery, false accusation, and imprisonment.
His circumstances could have made him believe that his destiny was finished.
But God remained with him.
Eventually Joseph was lifted from prison to become a ruler in Egypt.
Genesis 41:41
Jesus' Disciples
The early disciples faced persecution and opposition because of their faith.
Yet they continued preaching the Gospel.
The opposition could not stop the purpose of God.
Acts 4:29–31
What the Bible Says
The Bible does not teach believers to live in fear of spiritual opposition.
Instead, it teaches us to stand firmly in God.
1. God Is Your Refuge
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
When trouble comes, run to God rather than allowing fear to control you.
2. God Can Deliver You
Psalm 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
The presence of battles does not mean the absence of God.
3. You Must Resist the Enemy
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Victory begins with submission to God.
4. God Has Given You Spiritual Armour
Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day.
You are not expected to face spiritual battles without spiritual resources.
5. God Gives Victory
Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Your circumstances do not have the final word.
Practical Ways to Respond When You Feel Spiritually Attacked
1. Draw Closer to God
Do not allow pressure to push you away from prayer.
Spend more time seeking God.
2. Examine Your Heart
Ask God to reveal anything that needs correction.
Repent where necessary and ask for grace to change.
3. Study Scripture
Fill your mind with God's Word rather than constantly feeding on fear.
4. Pray Specifically
Do not simply say, “God help me.”
Tell God what you are facing and ask Him for specific intervention.
5. Reject Fear
Do not allow frightening thoughts to control your decisions.
6. Seek Wise Counsel
If a situation involves relationships, finances, work, or other practical matters, seek appropriate godly and practical counsel.
7. Make Necessary Changes
Prayer should not replace wisdom and responsible action.
If God shows you something that needs to change, obey Him.
8. Remain Consistent
Do not pray intensely for one day and then completely abandon your spiritual life.
Develop a consistent prayer life.
